angles and polygons Flashcards
alternate angles
they are shaped like a Z
corresponding angles
they are shaped like an F
Co-interior
they are shaped like an C but the two angles ther add up to 180
bearings
always three digits even if it is 036 and you must use clockwise ans.
Congruence
they must have the same shape and size but orientation can be different
how to prove two triangles are congruent
three equal sides(SSS)
two sides and the angles between them must be equal (SAS)
two angles and a corresponding side equal (ASA)
a right angle, the hypotenuse and another side equal (RHS)
similarity
the same shape but can have different size
formula for interior and exterior angles
n = no. of sides
interior angles = ((n-2)x180)/n
exterior angles = 180 - interior angles
Exterior angles = 360/n
interior angles = 180 - exterior angles
the formula for the no.of sides
n = no. of sides
(n-2) x 180
