What is a point?
A specific location in space
What is a line?
A group of points that form a straight path going on forever
What is a line segment?
A part of a line that ends
What is a ray?
A line that starts at an end point and goes in a straight path in one direction with no end
What are parallel lines?
Lines that never cross or become further apart from each other
What are intersecting lines?
Lines that cross each other
What are perpendicular lines?
Lines that cross or meet each other to form 90 degree angles
What is an angle?
Two rays with a common end point called a vertex
What is a vertex?
The point where 2 rays meet in an angle
What is a degree?
A unit for measuring the opening of angles
What is an acute angle?
An angle measuring less than 90 degrees
What is a right angle?
An angle measuring exactly 90 degrees
What is an obtuse angle?
An angle that measures more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees
What is a reflex angle?
An angle measuring over 180 degrees
What is a complementary angle?
Two or more angles with the sum of 90 degrees
