Angle Vocabulary Flashcards
Lines that will never cross and are the same distance apart and may go on forever (will not cross if they go on and on).
Parallel.
Part of a circle that represents an angle between two interesting facts.
Arc
When lines intersect they form angles and angles are the spaces or shapes that are formed between the interesting lines - They meet at a Name angle by names of points ( < = angle symbol).
Angle
Lines that form square corners when they intersect to form right angles.
Perpendicular
The lines that form it are perpendicular and the angle measures 90 degrees.
Right angles
When lines cross they cross at a point called an intersection.
Intersection
Angles that are less than a right angle, less than 90 degrees
Acute angles
Angles greater than a right angle, greater than 90
Obtuse Angles
A straight line- two rays pointing in the opposite directions and it equals 180 degrees
Straight Angle
Two angles that form a right angle are called complementary angles =90s degrees
Complementary angles
Two angles combine to form a straight angle = 180 degrees
Supplementary angles
The point where two rays meet
Vertex
Having the same measurement
Congruent
A measurement used to measure angles
Degrees
a tool that measures angles
Protractor
