ARBs block the action of Angiotension II
» by blocking receptor: angiotension type 1 receptor

> > lowers peripheral vascular resistance (afterload)&raquo_space; lowers BP
promotes sodium and water excretion
dilates glomeral arterioles

Hypotension
Hyperkalaemia
