A

Orchestra: This is where the play happened, and it was circular
Theatron: This is where the audience sat. it was rapped around the Orchestra
Skene: This was a building behind the orchestra. it was a different place depending on the play. it had doors so actors can come and leave

A

Actors were known as Hypocrites. Hypocrites were always men. They would play as women.

What were masks for?

A

The greek term for mask is ‘Persona.’ They were used for Worship and was an integral part for Greek Theatre. The masks had exaggerated features and Expressions so the audience could understand their role from a distance. Actors could switch masks so they could reuse actors.

A

The tragic actors wore boots called ‘Corthuneses’ that made them higher. The comedians wore socks. Their clothing showed if they were either male or female, rich or poor
