Peninsulas, small islands surrounding.
What are the seas surrounding Greece?
Mediterranean Sea, Aegean Sea, Ionian Sea
Significant of mountains in Greece
Found all throughout country, making it difficult to develop as a unified country as they separate different areas
What effect did the geography have?
Separate governments and different culture in each area; i.e. Athens, Sparta, etc.
What were some of the difficulties caused by the geography?
The mountains were not good for farming and the soil was poor
What was one of the advantages of Greece’s geography?
Made trading necessary, became better with sea travel
