Describe the weather of Ancient China
- Divided into 2 zones (North and South)
North: harsh environment ; dry; open; cold; regular famines and droughts ; limited growing season
South: high rainfall, high temperatures, all year growing season
Where did the first people who came to China settle? Why?
- The first ever people in China came to settle around the river valleys and basins.
- “They provided the best opportunities…[to] develop agriculture, farming and settles life.”
-They eventually left to their parts of China however, as the river valleys and basins were hard to defend.
