- Historians are not sure if it was real as there was no written evidence
- They controlled the floodwaters as they lived on rivers

-Left records on oral bones and animal bones
- Produced a large amount of bronze objects

-They came from the Wei valley
-Nobles could use land in trade for taxes

- A period during the Zhou dynasty where over 150 states were at war
-Qin Shi Huangdi overthrew this and began imperial China as their first emperor and the start of the Qin dynasty

- Had one central government established to control the people
- The governor established centralised writing, measurements and weight along with a lot more.

- The leader gained support by being more human
- Many gang-like groups formed like the red eyebrows who overthrew Wang Mang

Started as a very small settlement and today is the 3rd largest country in the world.
Development of Ancient China
- They lived on the banks of the yellow and the Yangtze River.
- This was good for the growth of crops
- The rivers could flood
- The floods led to people working together because they all experienced the same issue.
Basic information about the Xia dynasty?
The Xia Dynasty lasted from 2070BC to 1600BC. The first emperor was Yu who engineered draining of the water from floods. The Xia has never fully been confirmed as real
Basic information about the Shang dynasty?
The Shang dynasty lasted from 1600BC to 1050BC. They developed writing and used a lot of bronze. Officially this is the oldest dynasty in ancient China
Basic information about the Zhou dynasty?
The Zhou dynasty lasted from 1050BC to 256BC and is the longest lasting Chinese dynasty.
Basic information about the Warring states?
The warring States was a period in the Zhou dynasty which lasted from around 450BC to 221BC. Over 250 states were fighting with each other to gain land.
Basic information about the Qin dynasty?
The Qin dynasty lasted from 221-206BC. This was the first imperial dynasty of China established by Qin Shi Huangdi. Many things like writing and currency were standardized during this time.
Basic information about the Han Dynasty?
The Han dynasty lasted from 206BC to 220AD. in this time the silk road was used a lot more and is considered the golden age of Chinese civilisation as may ground layers were placed.
