Q

Describe the structure of the pericardium?

A

Consists of two layers: Fibrous and serous

The serous has two parts: parietal lines the fibrous layer and the visceral lines the heart.

There is pericardial fluid between the parietal and visceral layers.

Q

Describe the brachiocephalic vein anatomy?

A

Left internal jugular vein and left subclavian vein form the left brachiocephalic vein. Same on the other side so the two brachiocephalic veins join to form the descending vena cava

A

The right atrium

18
Q

What does the ligamentum arteriosum do?

A

Holds the aortic arch and the pulmonary trunk together
