Q

Expln general struture of mucosa

A

-consist of 3 layers -epithelium, lamina propria, and muscularis mucosae
-epithelium lining depends on position either stratified squamous non keratinized or simple columnar
-laminapropria is supporting Ct consist of lymphocyte, plasma cell, lymphatics and rich with blood vessel
-M.mucosae consist of several layers of smooth muscle

Q

Structure of muscularis externa

A

-is the smooth muscle arrange in circular and longitudinal layers.
-inner circular layer arrange in a circular manner around the circumference of the tube.
-tube diametter dexreased when muscle contract
-outer longitudinal layer arrange along the long axis of the tube
-when contract the length decreased
