A gel like material made of fluids, particles and membranes. It’s the essential material of human life
What is organelles?
Organisation of molecules which can perform specific functions
What can the organelles not survive?
It can not survive outside the cell and vice versa the cells can not survive without the organelles
What does bilateral symmetry mean?
The right and left side of the body are mirror image. There is balanced proportion
What does Ipsilateral mean?
Same side
What does contralateral mean?
Opposite side
What does supine mean?
The body Is lying face upwards
What does prone mean?
The body is lying face downwards
What does lateral mean?
The individual is lying on either right or left side
What does fowlers mean?
The individual is in supine but the head of the bed is elevated
What is semi fowlers?
It is when the individual is in supine but the head of the bed is at a 45 degree angle
What is part of the central nervous system?
The brain and spinal cord
What is part of the peripheral nervous system?
The cranial nerves and spinal nerves
When looking at the parasympathetic nervous system what is somatic?
Skeletal muscles
