From pons through foramen ovale to muscles of mastication and sensory area
Course of the facial nerve?
From pontomedullary junction through temporal bone via internal acoustic meatus then stylomastoid foramen To supply - Taste ant. 2/3rds tongue - Muscles of facial expression - Glands in floor of mouth
Course of hypoglossal nerve?
from medulla through hypoglossal canal to supply the intrinsic and extrinsic muscles of the tongue
Except palatoglossus
Course of glossopharyngeal nerve?
From medulla through jugular foramen to the posterior wall of oropharynx (sensory), parotid gland (secretomotor) and posterior 1/3 tongue (sensation and taste)
CN V2 course?
Maxillary division of trigeminal
From pons through foramen rotundum to the sensory area (mid-face)
