Q

What innervated the disk?

A

Recurrent Sinu-vertebral nerve
Gray ramus communicans from the sympathetic chain.

It is innervated to the 2nd or 3rd annular lamella

Q

Fryette’s law of spine biomechanics

A

C-spine : SB and Rot occur to same side

T/L spine neutral - SB / rot occur to the opposite side

T/L spine in flex - SB / Rot occur to the same side

Q

What innervated the facet?

A

Triple innervation (level above and below and same)

Posterior primary ramus (skin and muscles too)

Recurrent nerve sinu-vertebral - innervated the anterior portion along with the ligamentum flava a which is the anterior facet joint capsule

Q

Nerve to piriformis

A

Piriformis

17
Q

Nerves to levator ani, coccygeus, external anal sphincter

A

S4

Skin between anus and coccyx

18
Q

Anococcygeal nerves

A

S4-CO?

Perianal skin

19
Q

What major vessels bifurcate anterior to the SIJ and what is it significance in diff dx?

A

Common iliac artery - internal/external iliac arteries

Gluteals receive blood from the internal and if occlusion is present it will cause ischemic pain in the glutes- mimicking SI pain
