What is the lumbar plexus?
A nerve plexus formed by the anterior divisions of T12-L4
What is the course of the lumbar plexus?
The nerves emerge from the intervertebral foramina and enter the psoas muscle anterior to the transverse processes of the vertebra.
All emerge laterally between psoas major and quadratus lumborum. Except obturator, which passes medially before descending under the iliac vessels.
