innervates tibialis anterior
deep peroneal nerve - L5
foot drop - only dorsiflexion is weak
deep peroneal
foot drop - dorsiflexion and eversion is weak
common peroneal
foot drop: dorsiflexion, eversion, and inversion all weak
L5 radiculopathy (tibialis posterior affected)
foot drop: can’t dorsiflex, plantarflex, evert OR invert. all are weak
sciatic nerve - now look at other leg muscles to further localize
toes and sole of foot sensation
tibial nerve
sensation to webbed space between first 2 toes
deep peroneal
sensation to lateral side of foot
sural nerve (suralateral)
