Anatomy Flashcards
What is the immune system?
Circulates lymph through out the system.
What is Lymph?
Some part of the blood called plasma leaves blood vessel and goes in tissue.
All body tissues are bathed in tissue fluid, consisting of the diffusible
contents of blood and waste materials from cells. Some tissue fluid returns to
the capillaries at their venous ends and the remainder diffuses through the
more permeable walls of the lymph capillaries and becomes lymph.
What is the lymphatic vessel?
Another channel that carries lymph. It is drainage system.
Immune system components
Tonsils & Adenoids ( anything ingested from mouth). Thymus (behind chest) flights bacteria. Spleen purifies the blood. Bone Marrow -
What yogic practices help lymphatic system?
The movement at lymphatic centers help stimulate flow of lymph nodes. Yogic practices like Agnisara, KapalBhatti, Titli, Sukshyama help simulates area where lymph nodes are located and also help flow of lymph through out the body.
lymphatic system
Bone marrow, spleen, Thymus and lymph nodes
The intestinal lymphatic system
help transport digested fats to the
tissues where they are stored.
Nervous system parts
- Central Nervous System
2. Peripheral Nervous System
Central Nervous System
Brain and Spinal Card
Peripheral Nervous System
All nerves coming out of central nervuos system
Central Nervuos System - cerebrunn
Decodes five senses - sounds, smell, touch, seen, hear
Intelligence, learning, reasoning etc
cereballum
small brain on rear part. Fine Movement, postures, coordination and balance
Vagus Nerve
from neck into abdominal, rest, digestion, sleep, social interaction, safety,
Spinal Nerves
31 pairs of spinal nerves go all over the body
autonomic nervuos system- Sympathetic Nervous System
responsible for fight, flight, fear and response
automonic - parasympathetic
rest, digest helps calm down, optimal secretion of fluid in the body, energy required for normal functioning
neurons
synapase - connects two neurons
responsible for fight, flight, fear and response
Sympathetic Nervous System
which neurons receive info from external environment
sensory
pineal gland
The pineal gland is key to the body’s internal clock because it regulates the body’s circadian rhythms. … The pineal gland secretes melatonin , which is a hormone that helps regulate circadian rhythms. Melatonin is produced according to the amount of light a person is exposed to
Hypothalamus and Pituitary Gland
Hypothalamus is the king, link between nervous and endocrine system. mainting body temperature, hunger, whole balance
Pituitary Gland
Pancreas
maintain blood sugar level
