Q

What is ionising radiation?

A

Q

What is a radio-lucent material, and what colour will it appear on an X-Ray?

15
Q

What type of material appears white on an x-ray and why?

16
Q

What does the amount of absorption of an X-ray depend on?

A

Thickness, density and atomic number of the material the beam enters.

17
Q

From blackest to whitest list the radiographic densities.

A

Air, Fat, Water, Bone, Metal.

18
Q

What is a negative to X-rays?

A

Both the anterior and posterior are in the image. meaning summation and super-imposition can make you see something thats not there.

19
Q

What is a diagnostic view in X-Rays?

A

using two views at 90’ angles to one another
