Acute management
A
IM adrenaline - 500 micrograms (repeat at 5 min intervals)
Chlorphenamine 10mg
IV hydrocortisone 200mg
Fluids - IV
High flow oxygen - maintain sats

Anaphylaxis follow up
A
Mast cell tryptase testing ASAP after acute treatment
Ideally 1 - 2 hours from onset and within 4 hours
Refer to specialist allergy service
Offer adrenaline injector

Symptoms
A
Constricted airway - due to pharyngeal/ laryngeal oedema
Dyspnoea - due to bronchospasm
Tachypnoea
Hypotension - peripheral vasodilation
Tachycardia
Rash or urticaria
Pruritis

Mx after stabilisation
A
Observed for 6 - 10 hours from onset as may reoccur
