What are the life-threatening signs to look out for?
What is the critical part of its management?
What does the general management involve?
➊ • Airway - Hoarse voice, stridor
• Breathing - Increased WOB, wheeze, fatigue, cyanosis, SpO2 < 94%
• Circulation - Hypotension, tachycardia, confusion, reduced consciousness
➋ IM Adrenaline (1:1000)
➌ • Remove trigger if possible
• Lie pt flat (+/- legs elevated)
• Call for help early
What should be done first?
Once the equipment is available, what should be done?
If no response after this, what should be done?
➊ Give IM Adrenaline
➋ • Establish airway
• Give HF O2
• Monitor - Pulse ox, ECG, BP
➌ • Repeat IM Adrenaline after 5 mins
• IV Fluid bolus

What are different doses depending on age?
• Child < 6 months - 100-150 mcg
• Child 6 months-6yrs - 150 mcg
• Child 6-12 yrs - 300 mcg
• Adult and child > 12 yrs - 500 mcg
