cream cleanser because it helps the skin retain moisture

2 skin types , usually oily in t zone and either dry or normal on outer face

gel or light foam base that have gentle exfoliants

how can you tell if someone has aging skin
fine lines , wrinkles , lack of collagen, thinking skin , and elasticity
what can trigger acne
dairy , glutin ( glutin can cause papules on face and body and some can be filled with oil)
what can cause rosea?
spicy food can cause it , usually on cheeks and chin , can also have acne which should be treated for rosasa not acne
what makes up inflammation when coming to roseaca acne or rosea alone
too much salt / sugar (sugar will appear around mouth as papules)
what is dehydrated skin cause by
harsh skin care products , medications , smoking , not drinking enough water ,
what are roceasa triggers
alcohol , citrus , spicy food ,smoking ,sunburns, cafifine medication, harsh skin care products ,extreme temperature and hormones ,
why does coloration appear
coloration appears due to malasma also known as pregnancy mask, cause by hormones like birth control , pregnancy , after having a baby , menopause and hormonal placement therapy
what makes coloration appear darker
the sun , although the sun makes it appear darker it does not cause coloration
how to calm down pigmentation
treatments and skincare products that contain brighteners , or hydropenol ( hydropenol can only be use three months straight and then three months straight break in meantime can use brighteners so three months on and three months off ) but if clients stop treatments it can come up again
sun spots
sun can cause hypopigmentation
postinflamitory hyperpigmentation
Fitz Patrick 1-3 it will appear red and for fitz Patrick 4-6 it will appear brown
dry skin type
~ does not produce enough oil
~folicule usually small and the sebum is minimal
~more sensitive
~ skin texture can be rough , flakey , feel tight
~ creamy cleanser (use only)
combo skin type
~can be oily and dry at the same time
~can be oily and normal at the same time
~ t zone face , chin , forehead , nose produce more oil
~ has more sebaceous glands and larger pores
~ outer areas can be either normal or dry
~ folicule size is more obvious and looks medium to large outside t zone on the cheeks
~ needs to be balance
~ need to treat oily and dryer areas
~ water base product work best
creamy cleanser in am and gentle gel/foam in pm
oily skin type
~ pores are more larger on most of the face and because of that they’ll produce more oil
~this skin types require more oil absorbing products like salicylic acid in skin care regimen and as peels
~they cane be prone to acne , crysts and comedones
~only skin type that can use foam/gel cleanser twice a day
normal skin type
~has good oil to water balance
~pores are small
~they are usually free of blemishes , any skin type can have acne
~maintenance and preventative care are the goals for this skin type
