= Standard deviation ÷ Mean
Can be given as percentage, and measures dispersion of data around the mean

Where X is the outcome and P is the probability of that outcome

z = the z score
x = value being considered
u = mean
o = standard deviation
z score gives probability of value occuring (above zero on x axis). If area under curve to measure crosses to negative, need to add multiple z scores
