Analogue and digital Flashcards
1
Q
Sampling rate
A
Number of times per second that a quantity is measured.
2
Q
Sampling sensitivity
A
The smallest increment in the quantity that is measured and recorded.
3
Q
How does analogue to digital work?
A
Connect a sensor to receive analogue signal, select sampling rate and sensitivity, send the digital output to a display.
4
Q
Advantages and disadvantages of digital
A
More data fits in the same bandwidth, most interference is eliminated and it can be stored and processed on a computer. BUT, there is a time delay and the accurate is limited.
