“(involuntarily) My god!” - This shows that he has compassion for the lower classes and the people in his community, even though he does not know he knows her yet
What techniques does the Inspector use in his final speech?
Biblical language, Repetition, Short sentences and tricolon.
How does the play end in a similar way to its beginning?
The play begins with the calling round of an Inspector, and it ends with the telephone calling of another Inspector both of whom announce the death of a young girl by suicide.
