What is Anorexia (AN)
AN is an eating disorder thick causes sufferers to reach an abnormally low weight, in some cases leading to hospitalisation and death from starvation.

- Extreme weight loss
- Cognitive dysfunction (such as body dystrophia)
- Intense and extreme fear of graining weight

What is the proportion of males to females diagnosed with AN?
1 in 10 males are diagnosed with AN however this is on the rise throughout recent years
What ages is AN most commonly diagnosed with?
16-17 year olds however this is also becoming much younger. For example in recent years there has been cases of boys as young as 13 being diagnosed with AN.
