- He invented Qawalli and was credited to duse Persian, Arabic, Turkic and Indian singing tradition
- Invented tarana and trivat as he reproduced Naik’s vendition using meaningless words( mridang bols)

What is he known as?
He is know as the “ voice of India “ or “Parrot of India “ and has been called “ father of Urdu Literature”. He wrote in many verse including, ghazal, masmavi,qata,rubai,dobaiti and tarkib- band.
When did Amir Khusroo die?
He passed away in October 1325 in Dehli where he resided since he seeking refuge from the Sultan
How is Amir Khusroo celebrated?
His poetry is still sung today throughout India and Pakistan. Examples of songs include-

- Dama dam mast qalandar( was initially written by him but later adapted by Bulleh Shah)
