Act

Boycott
To refuse to buy one or more items/goods because of its source.
Guerrillas
Soldiers who are not part of a regular army and operate on their own.
Loyalists
American colonists who were loyal to the British government.
Mercenary
Professional soldiers who will fight for anyone if they pay them.
Militia
A small army that is made up of ordinary citizens who are available to fight in an emergency.
Patriots
American colonists who believed that they had the right to govern themselves.
Petition
A formal, written request. Or to make a formal demand or request.
Preamble
Introduction.
Propaganda
Information made specifically to influence public opinion. Not always accurate.
Protest
Doing something to show disagreement or complaint.
Repeal
To cancel something.
Revolution
The change of government from on to another. To evolve the government.
Taxes
The way a society or government raises money to cover public costs.
Treaty
A formal agreement between nations.
