A

Helped by running farms and businesses, some tried to uplift the army by following them and nurturing them (camp followers) some were spies for the colonies.

The men fought in war for their freedom or as slaves, some were war heroes, overall helped with numbers for the army (5 thousand soldiers).

Reason Siege of Yorktown: British still trying to fight to keep US colonies Significance: Last major battle of AR Outcome: British surrendered after Cornwallis surrendered for Britain and the treaty of Paris was formed after the battle.

Treaty of Paris Reason: sign a peace treaty with Britain and US colonies. Significance: finally separates US colonies from Britain and Britain gives their claims of land to Colonies but the US must return all property of loyalists.
