Walt Withman’s life?
A
born on Long Island, New York, in 1819. Poor Family. Started working at early age: office boy, apprentice printer, carpenter, journalist. From 1840 to 1850 he travelled throghout the USA, observing the people that will inspire his works. The Civil War was a great shock to him. In his last 20 years he retires to private life, working on his collected poems: LEAVES OF GRASS
