A

First act of defiance over British rule
Political protest as a result of taxes + colonists had no representation in Parliament. They were angry they had no say yet still had to pay taxes.
Dumped tea into Boston River
George Washington didn’t approve
Franklin insisted that the British India Company was reimbursed for the tea
British shut down Boston Harbour
