British Northern strategy

Worked?

A

To cut off New England from rest of colonies by splitting forces into 3 to meet in Albany, NY.
It was unsuccessful- met more resistance from countryside then they thought, none of the three parts made it to Albany

Southern Strategy

Worked?

A

To get control of South first since it had more loyalists, and get slaves to escape to join British army. Then they would go north to conquer New England.
It failed because they once again met more opposition from colonists than they thought.

What was it like?

A

They were there to camp for the winter. Conditions were very bad, lacking supplies, food, clothing, cramped, cold housing, lots of disease.
