Europeans wanted religious freedom and economic opportunity. Natives helped the Europeans live off the land. Later on the Europeans slaughtered them because they wanted the land. They enslaved africans.

French supported colonies.
Natives supported England because the colonist were taking their land and wanted to expand and take over more land in the west.
Explain the mindset and philosophy of the European settlers with respect to nature and wilderness.
They feared nature and thought it was something that they had to conquer and overcome. Had no respect for it and just wanted to destroy it and turn it into some of value. Sinful if respected it.
Quartering Act of 1765
Required the colonists to give barracks and supplies for British troops stationed in the colonies
Stamp Act of 1765
Taxed everything on printed materials which the colonists boycotted. The act was repealed.
Townshend Act of 1767
named after leader of parliament
placed taxes on lead, paint, paper, glass, tea, etc.
Resulted in second boycott. Repealed everything but tea.
Writs of Assistance 1767
unlimited search warrant.
Boston Massacre 1770
