Organise non violent protests, marches , boycotts and demonstrations wherever local laws discriminated against African Americans

He led the Montgomery bus boycott in 1955 and helped organise the 1963 march on Washington where he delivered his famous ‘I have a dream’ speech

Was awarded a novel peace prize in 1964

Assassinated in 1968 by James Earl Ray
