Amendment 1
Guarantees freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition
Amendment 2
Right to keep and bear arms. Was made for militia
Amendment 3
No soldier can be quartered in a house without the owners consent
Amendment 4
Protects against unlawful search and seizure, must have a warrant
Amendment 5
Rights in criminal cases. No person can be held for a serious crime without formal accusation by a grand jury. Does not apply to military. You can’t be tried for a crime you have been found innocent in. You can’t be compelled to testify against yourself.Eminent domain.
Amendment 6
Rights of the accused. Right to a fair trial. Informed of trial, right to lawyer, right to have a witness in favor of you.

Rights in civil cases. No cases can be reexamined except to common law- court can order a new trial, a higher court can call it up

Protection against excessive bail, fine, and punishment

Citizens have more rights than are listed in the constitution

Rights of Citizens- all born or naturalized in the US have dual citizenship. No state can alter privileges or immunities that come with citizenship. Abolishes 3/5 compromise. Confederate leaders can’t hold office

Right to vote no matter of race or color. Congress can enforce this with laws
