2nd Amendment
Right to bear arms- You have the right to your own weapons. Protection from tyranny.
1st Amendment
Freedom of speech- Have the right to express your own opinion.
3rd Amendment
Housing soldiers- If a soldier is injured he has the right to stay at your house.
4th Amendment
Protect against unlawful searches and seizures. Right to privacy and property. Must have warrant.
5th Amendment
Rights for those occured- Due process of law, innocent until proven, no goverment.
6th Amendment
Criminal proceedings- Informed of charge, speedy, publithal, Jury of peers, right to an attorney.
7th Amendment
Jury- Civil courts, excess of $20 each, trial
8th Amendment
Punishment- Can’t be excessive, no torture, cannot be cruel or unusal
9th Amendment
Unerumerated rights- rights are unlimited, can’t be countered. Bill of rights, guarentee, not limited.
10th Amendment
States rights- reserved powers. Election-rules, polling places. Intrastate commerce- Licenses, states certificates- marriage, schools, hunting, fishing
11th Ammendent
The judicial power of the U.S shall not be construid to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted.
12th Amendment
Instead of casting 2 votes for pres, each elector must pick a pres AND a vice on his or her ballot.
13th Amendment
Abolish slavery and involuntary servitude, except as punishment for a crime.
14th Amendment
citizenship right are equal protection of the laws, and was proposed in response to issue related to former slaves following the american civil war.
15th Amendment
Granted american me the right to vote by declaring the the right of citizens shall not he denied or abridged by the US or any state
16th Amendment
Allows the federal government to levy an income tax from all Americans.

The senate of the US shall be composed of 2 senators from each state.
18th Amendment
Banned the sale and drinking of alcohol in the US.

When you turn 18 you will be able to vote in all elections, be it state, local or federal.
27th amendment
Changes to Congressional pay must take effect after the next term of office for the representatives. This means that another election would have had to occur before the pay raises can take effect.
