4th amendment
The government can’t search your property
and take your stuff without a getting a warrant or without a reasonable suspicion wrongdoing
5th amendment
- You don’t have to give information that might get you in trouble with the law
- You can’t be tried twice for the same crime
- The government can take your land and/or property for public use as long as they pay you for it (eminent domain)
6th amendment
- Right to an attorney

- The Government cannot deny people the right to vote based on Race
- Gave non-white men the right to vote
16th amendment
The government can collect income tax

Senators are directly elected by the people of their
state, rather than being appointed by the state government
18th amendment
Banned Alcohol everywhere in the U.S.
19th amendment
Woman the right to vote
21st amendment
- Repealed the 18th Amendment
* Made alcohol legal again
26th amendment
Citizens can vote at 18
