Eleventh Amendment
Bars private parties and foreign governments from suing states in federal court
*does not apply to suits against local governments (e.g. school districts)
Tenth Amendment
Reserves to the states all powers that the Constitution does not expressly grant to the federal government (e.g. police powers)
14th amendment re U.S. citizenship
Prohibits Congress from revoking the U.S. citizenship of any U.S. citizen without his/her consent unless that citizenship was obtained by fraud or in bad faith
13th amendment
Prohibits government and private actors from engaging in slavery/involuntary servitude
Fourteenth amendment
Prohibits states from denying equal protection, due process, or privileges/immunities of national citizenship
Fifteenth amendment
Prohibits states and federal government from denying or abridging voting rights based on race, color, or previous servitude
