-2/3rds vote from both houses
-3/4ths ratification from states

-freedom of speech and assembly

-right to bear arms (came from the idea of needing a militia)

-soldiers can’t live in your house without consent

No search and seizure without a warrant

-no person can be forced to answer for crimes
-can’t get your basic rights taken away
-you can refuse to witness against yourself
-private property can’t be taken without compensation

-no cruel and unusual punishment
-no excessive bails or fines

-if a right isn’t written in an amendment it doesn’t mean you DONT have it
