What does the second amendment state?
Citizens have the right to bear arms
What does the third amendment state?
No soldiers shall be quartered in any house without the consent of the owner
What does the fourth amendment state?
Protects citizens from unreasonable searches and seizures
What does the fifth amendment state?
Protects citizens from self-incrimination and double jeopardy
What does the sixth amendment state?
Guarantees the right to a lawyer as well as the right to a speedy and public trial
What does the seventh amendment state?
Guarantees the right to a trial by jury in civil court cases which exceed twenty dollars
What does the eighth amendment state?
Protects citizens from excessive bail, excessive fines, and any unusual or cruel punishment
What does the ninth amendment state?
All rights not stated directly in the consitiution belong to the people and not the government
What does the tenth amendment state?
Powers not granted to the United States are reserved to the States or the people
