no search & seizure w/o warrant, searches upon probable cause
5th amendment
grand jury & inditement (formal charge, see if they have enough to arrest someone), can’t testify against yourself, no double jeopardy, can’t deny life liberty and pursuit of happiness, can’t relieve of property without just compensation
6th amendment
quick and speedy public trial, right to challenge witnesses, impartial jury in state where crime was committed, informed of accusation, obtain witnesses, assistance for counsel in his defense
7th amendment
trial by jury, no case tried by jury shall be re-examined
8th amendment
no excessive bail, no cruel or unusual punishments
9th amendment
rights enumerated not disparaged, just cause not listed doesn’t mean they can be violated
10th amendment
reserved powers, powers not given to states nor prohibited by them are given to the states
11th amendment
individuals cannot sue states in federal courts, federal/ states governments have sovereign immunity, can’t sue state you’re a resident of

freedom of (performing/ being free of) religion, speech, press, petition, assembly
12th amendment
separates presidential and VP ballots, election by electoral college, no majority, house chooses pres and senate choses VP, quorum of 2/3
13th amendment
abolished slavery
14th amendment
if you are born or naturalized in the US, you are a citizen of the US, states cannot abridge privileges of a citizen, can’t deprive of life, liberty, or pursuit of happiness w/o due process of law, can’t deny equal protection of the laws
15th amendment
can’t deny a person voting because of race, color, or creed
