What are Amazon Storage Gateway modes?

1. File Gateway. Uses NFS, SNB allows on-prem or EC2 instances to mount NFS or SMB endpoints that will be synced to S3 or Glacier
2. Volume Gateway Stored Mode (gateway-stored volumes) uses iSCSI to asynchronously synchronize data with S3, Glacier. (runs background job)
3. Volume Gateway Cached Mode (gateway-cached volumes) Primary data is stored in a cloud and only often used on prem. Uses iSCSI protocol.
4. Tape Gateway (gateway-virtual tape library) iSCSI, Virtual media changes and tape library for use with EXISTING backup software.
