  1. Cleared/planned altitude
  2. Airspace limit
  3. An LSALT during unrestricted descent
  4. Instrument approach altitude (IAF or next limiting altitude or altitude at completion of MAP or onwards cleared altitude)

When are altimetry checks conducted?

A
  1. Anytime aircraft departs a level
  2. Descent at FL150
  3. Transition level
  4. A100, A050 and every 1000ft thereafter (not during instrument approach)
  5. 1000ft prior to assigned level
  6. 200ft prior to MDA/DA

What is the RADALT set to for a 2D approach?

A
  1. 250ft with a FAF
  2. 400ft without a FAF or when intending to circle

What must be stated when the RADALT alert is triggered?

A
  1. Instrument approach, below LSALT/MSA and not visual - “acknowledged, missed approach”
  2. IMC or night not within runway splay - “acknowledged, climbing”
  3. During IFR circling and visual with terrain - “visual, continuing”
