Altimeter Flashcards
What is the difference between a sensitive altimeter and simple altimeter
Sensitive altimeter has 2 or 3 aneroid capsules to be more accurate
Servo assisted altimeter
1-What happens to the āIā bar when and a/c climbs/descends
2-what changes the polarity of the output voltage
1-Barometric capsules drive the I bar, causing air gaps between the E and I bar to be different, changing the amount of flux that flows, resulting in an output voltage in the secondary coil
2-the direction the I bar is deflected
What is:
1-indicated alt
2-true alt
3-absolute alt
1-alt read from the altimeter(uncorrected) when set to the current altimeter setting
2-vertical distance above sea level(feet above MSL)/the actual Altitude
3-vertical distance above terrain/AGL
