  • Need to have clear, easy to answer questions
  • Participants have more control (more time to think)
  • More anonymous

What are prompt methods?

A
  • Can use videos, vignettes, activities, audio to start discussions on a given topic
  • Good for “sensitive” topics
  • Opens up and encourages a discussion.

  • Participant led prompts
  • Get insight into people’s lives my giving them a camera and asking them to take photos on a topic that is meaningful

  • A participant is given an ambiguous start of story and they are asked to finish it
