This is an OpSpec for alternate airport selection

• 1 hour before and 1 hour after
• 1,000’ ceiling
• 2 mile vis
  (Not authorized if thunderstorms are forecasted within the hour of ETA)
• Must have CAT II or CAT III
• cannot be used as Dual Alternate

What is the 1-1-3 rule?

• 1 hour before and 1 hour after
• 1,000’ ceiling
• 3 Miles
• CAT I
• Not Dual Alternate

Question 4

FO Takeoff and Landing Minimums

Answer 4

TO: TDZ and Rollout 1,000 RVR or greater.

LDG: vis 1/2 mile or RVR 1800 or greater.

Question 5

FO Landing and Takeoff minimums less than 100 hours

Answer 5

• Vis greater than 3/4 mile or 4,000 RVR
• X-Wind limited to 15 knots
• Braking action good or better
• No RWY clutter
• No Reported Wind-shear
• No Special Qualification Airports
