< 70mmHg + (2 x age in years)

Need for ventilatory assistance or airway control

Other airway management is ineffective

Absent gag reflex
Contraindications for supraglottic airway?
- Airway obstructed by a foreign object
- Known esophageal disease (varices)
- Trauma to oropharynx
- Caustic ingestion

ETCO2 (waveform capnography)
What are the secondary methods to confirm supraglottic airway?
- ETCO2 (waveform capnography)
- Auscultation
- Chest rise and fall
Indications for broncoconstriction?
Respiratory distress

Suspected bronchoconstriction
Conditions for salbutamol? (bronchoconstriction)

Conditions for Epi? (bronchoconstriction)
- BVM ventilations
- Hx of asthma
Conditions for dexamethasone? (bronchoconstriction)
Hx of asthma OR
COPD OR
20 pack year history of smoking
Contraindications for salbutamol? (bronchoconstriction)
Allergy or sensitivity to salbutamol
Contraindications for Epi? (bronchoconstriction)
Allergy or sensitivity to epinepherine
Contraindications for dexamethasone? (bronchoconstriction)
- Allergy or sensitivity to steroids
- Currently on PO or parental steroids
