1
Q
non-shockable rhythms
A
- pulseless-electrical activity
- asystole
2
Q
What does pulseless electrical activity look like?
A
sinus or non-specific rhtyhm should be compatible with life, but no pulse
3
Q
Shockable rhythm
A
- ventricular fibrillation (VF)
- pulseless ventricular tachycardia (VT)

A
- Hypoxia
- Hypovolaemia
- Hyperkalaemia; hypokalaemia, hypoglycaemia, hypocalcaemia, acidaemia and other metabolic disorders
- Hypothermia
5
Q
Reversible causes of arrest - Ts
A
Thrombosis (coronary or pulmonary)
Tension pneumothorax
Tamponade – cardiac
Toxins
6
Q
Consideration if giving thrombolytic drug
A
CPR should be continued for 60-90mins
7
Q
Timing of adrenaline use
A
- ASAP if non-shockable
- 1st after 3rd shock, then every 3-5mins
8
Q
