Abraham was asked by God to sacrifice his son. At the last minute, he didn’t have to. Symbolic of a man’s willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice to demonstrate his faith. Also that faith may be rewarded.
Absalom
in Samuel II, Absalom was David’s fav son who was killed in battle. David was sad “oh Absalom” Stands for personal grief and to a lost faithless son.

Achilles was hero of Homer’s Iliad
Slew Trojan hero Hector but was invulnerable to wounds because his mommy dipped him in the river styx. Achilles tendon was his only vulnerable part. Resembles your one weakness

King who sacrificed his daughter Iphigenia to win the gods favor for his war against troy
Antigone
Daughter of Oedipus who performed funeral rites over her brother Polynices in defiance of Creon. Choice between God’s authority and Civil authority.
