What is an alloy?
A
Any mixture of 2 or more metals or a metal and another substance

How are they arranged and why?
A
In metals they arranged in tight rows.
This is so they can slide over each other and this makes the metal soft

Brass-copper & zinc

How do alloys strengthen a metal?
A
When another metals added it’s atoms help strength en the first metal. It does this by holding the parts of the metal together so it stops the row from sliding over each other

A
They are made because they combine properties like lightness and strength of different metals
