Explain the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954

A

Provides security of tenure i.e. if your lease is ‘Inside the Act’ then at expiry you are entitled to a new lease o the same terms as the old lease (with new MR).

  • Landlords want Outside Act because they can get possession back / if they want to redevelop property

A

MMC aim to address challenges in the traditional construction industry, offering faster and more cost-effective construction methods

The most advanced of these are modular building methods, where the production of entire houses is moved from the building site to the factory = can be built with less than 50% of the workforce needed by traditional housebuilding
