Q

What are the products and conditions when primary alochols are oxidised?

A

1) alcohol -> aldehyde + H20
conditions - heat + distil, K2Cr2O7 w dilute H2SO4
2) further oxidised to a carboxylic acid
K2Cr2O7 in excess
orange solution -> green solution.
